God in Heaven, Don't you just love Sister Joan. She is one of the most impressive people I have ever encountered. A friend and I attended the Trinity Institute a few years back when it was on the topic of Benedictine Spirituality. She was one of the speakers and I don't know what I had expected, but nothing could have quite prepared us for the experience. After that I have always thought of her as the "fiery nun in the fire-engine red suit." She was fairly sizzling, and no one else there could hold a candle to her.
Well he obviously doesn't believe as either Mies van der Rohe or Gustave Flaubert (depending upon whom you may believe) that "God is in the details." That is very sad for a "man of God," is it not?
Well, that quote seems to sum it up nicely I think.
The quote above about van der Rohe/Flaubert was intended to be a comment under the post about "Archbishop Jensen and Scripture." I'm not quite sure how it ended up here. Oh, well.
