Australia Day 2009

Please stand for the National Anthem...

When the pubs played bands like this every night, when the idea of watching a DJ was too stupid to even contemplate, and when us getting messed up in yet another pointless and unwinnable foreign war was unimaginable. You had to be there back in the day ... ;-)

How are the littles? And the pooches?

Welcome back, although as usual our musical tastes do not coincide :-)

Alcibiades, I check back by here from time to time whenever I get out and about which is not too often lately now that I am back in the daily grind. It is great to see you posting. I pray that you, you wife, the two precious little ones along with the four-legged members of the Duck Noodle Gang are all doing well.
Last week, while keeping up with one of my youth volunteers who was off at Obama's inauguration, this old dog learned a new trick--Twittering. As I was setting up my account, AlcibiadesDNG popped up into my area but had only one "tweet" (if that's the term) from back in July. Is that you? Just wondering.

Well, I like all that curly hair. Does anyone still wear it that way? Happy Australia Day, even if i am a little late.

Alcibiades---I was late to the party at MadPriest's...but wanted you to know that I'm still praying for you, your family, and your neighbors. The news reports this AM are frightening. Stay safe.

Pax,
Doxy

I just read the comment thread at MP's and it says you are back home. Such heat and the remnants of fire around you.

I do hope all is well and I am really praying for your country right now.

I am glad to learn that you and your family are safe from the fire. But, still praying. The news I am hearing is just so dreadful. God be with all of you.
